Last season was jam packed with record breaking performances including Shaun Alexander aka Mr. Touchdown new high record of 28 touchdowns. The NFL Season Highlights promises to be even more action packed. The Pittsburgh Steelers are ready to defend their championship and Seattle and Carolina are both looking to return the championship to the NFC. The National Football League has announced that the kickoff game will be on September 7th between Pittsburgh Steelers and the miami Dolphins followed up with the regular season openers on the weekend of September 10th.

During the season there will be more games not schedule for the traditional Sunday timeslots. Thanksgiving will have give three different games this year. Then the regular football season will end on December 31st and the superbowl will be on February 4th.

This season the interconference games will be played between these divisions:
  • AFC East vs. NFC North
  • AFC North vs. NFC South
  • AFC South vs. NFC East
  • AFC West vs. NFC West

Also make sure you are prepared for the "flexible-scheduling" the NFL is starting this year. This means the NFL can change the times of the games to ensure that most interesting games are played during primetime tv viewing time. Hopefully this will ensure the most exciting games for all us couch potatoes out there. All scheduling changes will be announced 12 days before the game.
