2006 NFL Draft Highlights

  1. As with all drafts this one was full of last minute changes. The Houston Texans decided to beef up their defense with Mario Williams. Hopefully this fills the hole in their pass defense. There are many questions about his work ethic and conditioning.

  2. Houston's loss is New Orleans gain as they grabbed Reggie Bush (anyone else having flashbacks about Ricky Williams). Reggie Bush should be a good performer but a concerns is that New Orleans may place too much pressure on him too fast.

  3. Since Tennessee parted ways with Steve McNair is such a nice way they decided to go with another qb - Vince Young. He will be a definite spark in their offense. When betting on his games make sure to check the injury report as he will probably rush the football more than traditional qbs and take the resulting punishment with it,

  4. New York Jets upgraded their O-Line with D’Brickashaw Ferguson. Expect this to help the jets throw down field alot more. Their games will probably have a higher over/under than last year. It may take a few games for Ferguson to learn the NFL style but towards the end of the season look for good things from the Jets passing (as long they can finally have a qb that does not get injured).

  5. The Frozen Tundra welcomed A.J. Hawk as the new key to their defense. This should help their tackling but still leaves their offense a bit lacking. Watch this player for his impact on the opposing teams rushing plays and also with his speed he should be able to make more than a few quaterbacks worry.
